Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Exams (TCEQ)
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) exams are for individuals seeking professional licensure in fields such as water treatment, wastewater operations, and landscape irrigation. College of the Mainland is a registered computer-based testing (CBT) site for these state-mandated certifications.

- Approval Required: You must receive an official approval letter from the TCEQ before you can schedule your exam.
- Time Limits: Most exams are 3 hours; however, specialized licenses like Class A Water or Wastewater can take up to 6 hours.
- Retake Policy: If you do not pass, you may be eligible for one immediate retest on the same day, subject to seating availability and payment of an additional fee.
Schedule your exam in advance and pay any applicable fees.
- Curriculum: Study materials are based on the specific manual for your license (e.g., Basic Water Works, Wastewater Collection).
