TSI Assessment & Registration
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSI) is a state-mandated program designed to help determine if you are ready for college-level coursework in reading, writing, and mathematics. All incoming Texas public college students must take the TSIA2 unless they qualify for an exemption.

- Results: Available immediately upon completion
Texas law requires all students to complete the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) before their first TSI attempt. Complete the TSI Pre-Assessment and email your certificate to testingcenter@com.edu before taking the TSIA. You cannot be seated for your exam without proof of completion.

Need to schedule TSI for another school?
Requirements:
- Remote Proctor Fee: $29.50 (Paid to Meazure Learning, in addition to the COM voucher fee).
- Desktop/laptop with webcam and microphone.
- Reliable internet in a private, distraction-free room.
- Valid physical photo ID.
- Blank white paper and a pencil.
After requesting voucher, check your email for from “Accuplacer/Meazure Learning” to schedule.
TSI Testing Accommodations
All accommodations must be approved BEFORE scheduling a TSI appointment. Contact Accessibility Services for accommodation approval and scheduling.

Exemptions and test results are not automatic. You must provide official proof to the Admissions Office.
- Test Scores: Download your official score report as a PDF and use the COM Document Upload Portal.
- Transcripts: Request an official transcript be sent directly from your previous college to COM.
- Military: Submit a copy of your DD214 (Member 4 or Service 2) to the Admissions Office.

Transferring Your TSI Scores
Option 1: Bringing Scores TO College of the Mainland
To allow COM to pull your scores from the state database, you must provide formal authorization.
- Complete the Request: Fill out the Cross-Institutional Reporting Form.
- Required Info: You will need your Student ID, Date of Birth, and the name of the institution where you originally tested.
- Processing: Please allow 1–2 business days for the Testing Center to retrieve and post these scores to your COM student record.
Option 2: Sending COM Scores TO Another School
If you tested at COM but are enrolling elsewhere, your new school needs to "pull" your scores.
- Contact Your New School: Reach out to their Testing Center or Admissions Office.
- Provide Authorization: Ask them for their specific "TSI Score Release" or "Cross-Institutional" form.
- COM Info: You may need to provide them with our institution name: College of the Mainland.
