At TRIO Student Support Services, we believe every student has the potential to succeed. We provide students with resources and experiences that motivate students to persist, graduate, and thrive as lifelong learners and leaders. We accomplish this by fostering a supportive community that walks with students through their college going and career exploration journey.
We are intentional about the students we serve! We work to remove barriers, cultivate opportunities, and inspire achievement by empowering students with the knowledge, support, and confidence to earn their degree, pursue continued education, and build meaningful careers.
Mission Statement
The mission of the TRIO Student Support Services Program at COM is to increase the college retention, graduation, and transfer rates of eligible students by delivering comprehensive academic, financial, career, and personal support services.

Through intentional advising, evidence-based programming, and a culture of belonging, we empower students to overcome barriers, achieve academic excellence, complete their associate degree, and successfully transfer to a four-year institution or enter the workforce prepared for lifelong success.

- Financial & Economic Literacy: Assistance with FAFSA, scholarship searches, and managing your money.
- University Transfer Trips & Educational Enrichment Experiences: Discover new colleges, broaden your perspectives and explore your future beyond the classroom.
- Priority Support: Access to private tutoring, computer labs, and workshops.
Are You Eligible?
We are here to serve COM students who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- First-Generation: Neither of your parents has completed a four-year college degree.
- Income Eligible: You meet income guidelines set by the Department of Education.
- Differently Abled: You have a registered physical or learning disability.
