President's Ambassador Program

To be considered for selection into this elite student representative cohort, applicants must meet the following mandatory academic and institutional milestones:

• GPA Standing: Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Credit Milestone: Must have completed at least two semesters of higher education academic work (equating to 24 credit hours) at College of the Mainland.
• Enrollment Status: Must be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester).
• Service Commitment: Must be able to commit to a full year of service with the program.
• Selection Process: Must receive an official program application via email, successfully complete the interview process with the Program Selection Committee, and remain in good institutional standing.

Ambassadors are expected to display a professional mindset and a willingness to go above and beyond to represent COM positively. Core expectations include:

• Time Commitment: Complete 40 service hours per semester dedicated to assigned events, weekly meetings, and professional training sessions.
• Campus Recruitment: Welcome prospective students and families by providing comprehensive, engaging campus tours.
• Public Relations: Participate directly in formal speaking engagements, welcome desks, and local community outreach events.
• Institutional Service: Act as an official student representative for the Office of the President and the broader College of the Mainland district.

The Program Selection Committee looks for passionate individuals who possess the foundational traits needed to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. An ideal ambassador candidate should possess:

• An outgoing, welcoming personality that allows them to connect naturally with others.
• The capacity to communicate clearly and articulate ideas with potential students, families, and civic leaders in professional and diverse environments.
• A genuine desire to equip prospective students with deep knowledge, guidance, and understanding of academic life at College of the Mainland.
• A strong enthusiasm to actively take part in high-profile college special events.
